signs

I don't know anything about the Motel Resthaven (or the Rest Haven Motel), so this isn't a recommendation. It's hidden behind a Jack-in-the-Box in Venice, which automatically makes you a little nervous about it as a hotel. But I've always gotten a kick out of the signage. I think both the old neon script and the block wooden cutout texts are both beautiful. Who knows, it could be a great motel, and I'd love to know its history (as well as the history of its signs). Until then, I like just seeing 'em.
