greener pastures

I had forgotten is how green Virginia can be in the springtime. I usually go home every year for Christmas - which is generally brown and grey by then; and occasionally I meet up with my family during their beach week in the Summer - but that is in the Outer Banks of NC. So the trip back to Virginia last weekend ended up being the first time that I have been home during springtime in a long time - possibly as long as ten or fifteen years. Its a different green than is ever left in the winter or like you find in CA, so I made sure to snap some shots of what is typical out the windows when driving in and around the Winchester area.
